Today our smartphones do way more than make phone calls, and have become essential tools in our every day life. We talk about how much our youth are attached to their phones, but the truth is most of us are just as dependent on them. The great thing is that, thanks to things like Apple’s App store and Google Play, our phones now do way more than just make phone calls. Here are a few of my favorite apps that I use in youth ministry.
Organization and Storage
Dropbox –
If I want a file available to me no matter where I am, I place it in dropbox. Dropbox installs a folder on various computers and keeps all files placed in that folder in sync. Through the dropbox app for your phone, you also have access to all those files from anywhere. Use this link to sign up for Dropbox, and get a free 500 mb for you and me. Dropbox for IPhone. Dropbox for Android
Google Drive –
Another app that provides an interface with files stored online is Google Drive. The phone app gives access to those files, though editing them is limited on the phone. Check out Google Drive. Google Drive for iPhone. Google Drive for Android
Evernote –
Evernote allows you one place to put your thoughts. You can take notes, photos, pdf files, web clips, audio notes and more into one place. You can search for text across all your files, paid version even searches handwritten text in .jpg and pdf files. Check out Evernote. Evernote for IPhone. Evernote for Android

What apps do you use for ministry?
I love Evernote!! This app is awesome for organizing life. Evernote allows taking notes, capturing photos, creating to-do lists, record voice reminders and makes these notes completely searchable, whether we are at home, at work, or on the go. Thanks for sharing this nice post!!
