Create Your Own Room Dividers
Here is an easy way to divide up a room, create additional small group spaces or maybe even use for prayer stations backdrops. The process is simple and the uses are almost endless. All you need is some wood pallet segments, scrap lumber and casters. I am including some instructions but it should be pretty easy to see the concept and then make it work for your group and needs.
Supplies Needed-
- Tape Measure
- Table Saw or Skill Saw
- Reciprocating Saw
- Wood Screws
- Power drill/screwdriver
- Wood Pallets
- 2x4s or other scrap lumber
Step 1 – Measure Your Doors
The first thing you will want to do is to measure the doors where you will be using the dividers. The goal is for these to be easily movable by one person. If the pallet wall segments are too tall then they will be more trouble and require more people to move.
Step 2 – Measure the Pallet Wall Segments
Measure your pallet wall segments and determine how tall they need to be. Make sure and leave room for the casters on the bottom. Once you have your measurement you can determine how to assemble your wall segments.
Step 3 – Assemble your Wall Segments
Lay the segments on the ground and use 2×4 or 2×6 to connect them together. Use 2×6’s to build the legs to that hold up the wall. Then you can attach the casters to the bottom.
If the segments you put together are too tall, you can easily cut the pallet with a reciprocating saw. Attach a board on top to finish it off.

As I said before this is how we built them using what we had available. You can build them any way you like just make sure they will fit where you need to go, and are sturdy and you should be good.
