Facebook walls, and school halls are not always filled with encouraging messages for our students. So when I came across this idea on Pinterest I had to try it. The original idea comes from the Farnsworth family blog post entitled- Farnsworths : Youth Activities. They used a marker board and had each student sit in front of the board. Then everyone else wrote encouraging words about the person.
We have a huge chalkboard wall in our youth center. So we had our students stand in front of the wall while the others came and wrote encouraging words and phrases about each other.
It is a simple idea, but I believe anything we can do to encourage our youth to encourage each other is a good thing.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”
How do you encourage your youth to be encouraging?
