I learned to play guitar while on youth retreats. I would ask some of our adults who could play to just teach me a few things. Soon I was learning chords, strumming patterns, even a few riffs here and there. I cannot sit down and shred out an electric lead, but I can play enough for myself and others to sing along to during worship.
That’s the goal of the Worship Guitar Crash Course. I want to help you be able to lead worship on guitar, even if it is just for your own private worship time. Through this time together my goal is for you to learn things like chords, theory, strum patterns, reading lead sheets, and other basic things you will need.
I will try to post a lesson once per week. It will include a few chords, a strum pattern and a few progressions you would use in worship songs. Go through these on your own, or find a few friends and make a group lesson from it.
I hope you will find this series useful. I will post links to the lessons below as they become available
Hi, This series on worship guitar lessons looks wonderful. Is there any way you can get them posted again or are they somewhere else to access on the web?
