The weather is turning colder, the days are shorter, and you’re looking for a great activity for your group of youth. One simple idea is to have a hayride and cookout.
When one of our members offered for our youth to come out to their land for a hayride and cookout, we took him up on the opportunity.
We had the youth meet at the church and we drove out to the location. They had set up a campfire and had hotdogs and smores ready for us. The youth talked, cooked and ate around the campfire.
We then divided between the two trailers and took of on a 40 minute drive through the woods sitting on bales of hay. I started out on the trailer which had mostly Jr. High. This meant 20 minutes of Mmm aaaht went the little green frog”, “baby shark” and other songs they knew.
Though loud, they had a great time, and got everyone involved.
What’s a simple idea you have for a Sunday Night program?
