Here’s a great way to have a fun night of bowling without loading everyone up and heading to the bowling alley.
1. Ask members if you can borrow a few Wii gaming consoles, the original sports game and at least one controller per console. Best if you can have one per four youth.
2. Connect them to TVs set up around the room.
3. Have everyone go to one game station and start bowling…
You could stop there, but to make it more interactive, and get your group meeting different people try this.
4. Make up a card where they can write their name at the top, and keep track of strikes, and wins.
5. After a game, each person records an X for each strike, 3 max per game. They also record an X if they had the high score for their game. Finally all members of the team with the highest average score record an X on their card.
6. At the end of the game the one with the highest score moves one group to the right, the lowest score moves one to the left, and the two in the middle stay where they are.
7. Play as many rounds as you have time for.
When you are done you can award prizes for the most marks, least marks, most strikes, or however you would like.
